In 2013 when this journey began, we had no idea that standing here in 2019 the seeds we planted would grow into the fruit-bearing trees they are today. While, God knew this all along and has continued to provide for the ministry, it has become apparent that for us to maintain Stability for today….Security for tomorrow, we must restructure and reshape ministry. God is the author of order, so we are getting our house in order to better serve Him and the people He has entrusted us with.
Our plan has a few moving parts that will take shape as funding permits and our desire is to have it completed by December 31, 2019.
Please note, that this will not in any way impact the elderly that we serve, the JAM Clubs, our church relationships, our school sponsored students, our agricultural lands, our sponsored home builds, and many other ways that the ministry serves the community. This restructure will allow us to better meet the current needs and prepare for the future.
Matthew 25 House:
Our elderly care residents, the most vulnerable elderly in our community, that receive 24/7 care will continue to receive that care, but at one location. This will allow all the care givers for the elderly to be at a centralized location. This will mean that we can better balance staffing needs with budget requirements. Our tangible items such as water pumps, generators, stoves, and other items that need frequent maintenance and repairs will be consolidated.
Galatians 6:2 Program:
“Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.”
Food delivers to the elderly and other families that are the most vulnerable will only take place when mission teams are in country, specific families are sponsored for deliveries, or when donations and funding permits. It cost approximately $35 a month to deliver a food subsidy package. Currently we have a need to provide for 20 families and few are sponsored.
We have to have a financial reserve for our elderly medical and funeral expenses, vehicle and property maintenance and repairs, and the unforeseen needs of our ministry family and our community.
Complete the construction of the consolidated Matthew 25 Campus. The new location has been purchased through the generosity of several people and support from One Heart 2 Homes. The estimated completion cost of this campus and restructuring is $25,000. We have about $15,000 left to raise
Secure additional donations to meet the needs of those that are in the Galatians 6:2 ministry category. Seek monthly supporters for this ministry or have increased general support to meet this need.
Tomorrow...any funds raised above the actual cost of the Matthew 25 House and Galatians 6:2 Program will assist us in the maintaining of care givers for the elderly and other necessary staff as well as financial stability for ongoing needs associated with elderly care and serving the community.
